Privacy Policy

Effective September 27, 2026

The short version: Sincy does not collect any data about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your events live on your devices and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud storage — which we cannot access.

What Sincy stores

For each event you create, Sincy stores the details you enter: its title, date, icon, colour, whether reminders are on, whether the icon is crossed out, its position in your list, and when it was last changed. Sincy also remembers your appearance setting (Automatic, Light or Dark).

This information is saved on your device, inside the app’s private storage. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, Sincy uses Apple’s CloudKit to keep your events in sync across your iPhone and iPad. Your events are stored in your private iCloud database, which only your Apple Account can access. We, the developer, have no way to read it.

To keep sync up to date, Apple may deliver silent background notifications that tell Sincy something changed. These carry no content and are never used for marketing.

iCloud is optional. Sincy works fully without it, and your events stay on your device if you sign out. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Reminders

Milestone reminders are scheduled locally on your device using the system notification service. No server is involved, and Sincy only asks for notification permission when you turn reminders on.

Sharing

When you tap Share, Sincy creates an image of your event on your device and hands it to the iOS share sheet. What happens next is up to you and the app you choose to share with.

What Sincy does not do

• No sign-up, account or login.
• No analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs.
• No third-party code that talks to the internet.
• No tracking across apps or websites, and no selling or sharing of data.

Deleting your data

You can delete any event in the app by swiping on it. Deleting the app removes everything stored on that device. To remove your synced events from iCloud, go to Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage, choose Sincy and delete its data.

This website

sincy.app uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.

To show dates relevant to where you are, the site reads your device’s time zone and language settings. This happens entirely in your browser; nothing is looked up or sent to us. Your light or dark appearance choice is saved in your browser’s local storage.

Children

Sincy collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the effective date above.
